Greetings All,
Does anybody have any suggestions as to where I should take my '88 M3 for a valve adjustment? I
live in the Annapolis, MD area and am reluctant to take it to Tate BMW as (1) they had no idea
what a S14 2.3 motor is -they said it had the same valve adjustment charactoristics as a 325i
M20 (read cam ecsentrics), and (2) their price seemed WAY high ($350). This didn't sound right
and I think their service writer is an absolute moron from previous dealings with them.
Unfortunately they are close by. I don't mind doing a little traveling as long as the job is
done right at a fair price.
I still have that intermitant rattle in my car. It sounds like something is vibrating the floor
pan, but I can't seem to find it. It seams to be exhaust related, but I have checked everything
and there is no part of the exhaust touching the car. The cat is shot, but that makes a totaly
different noise. It is driving me nuts.
Please help, it is my daily driver and I want to keep it on the road for as long as possible.
Besides, you can't do much better for a street/race car than the E30 M3!

P.S.: sorry for the WOB, but the BMW in the Mountain Dew ad is a E34 525i. I don't think it is
stock as I have NEVER seen a 525i do those kind of stunts. Of course it could be "Sharked"...
