Aaron,
I think you have measured the resistance of the air temperature
sensor, which is located inside the AFM. This is what I have
measured on my AFM (E30 M3):
* Bosch 0 280 203 028.
* It has a 4-pin connector. Each pin has a number. They are (from
left to right as you are looking at the connector): 4-3-2-1.
* Resistance between 1 and 4 (R14):2k3 ohms at Ta:22 C degrees
(This is the resistance of the air temperature sensor (ATS)).
* R34:560 ohms.
(This is the resistance of the whole "array" of resistors,it
doesn't depend on the flap position)
* R24:59.8 ohms with the flap closed.
(Here is where you get the variable resistance while you move the
flap, using a part of the variable resistor).
* R23:563 ohms with the flap closed.
(Idem, using the other part of the variable resistor).
* Note that the Pin #4 is shared by the ATS and the variable
resistor,what makes me think that it is the "ground".
Take them as a reference, not as a true. My M3 is not the best
example of good behaviour. If you are going to do the same
measurements, please let me know what happens. I need some references
too. Thanks.
(Sorry if some odd symbols appear again. I'm using another mail
program)
