My car has this funny odour upon every cold start. When I mean cold
start, it's leaving the car unattended for 8-9 hours in 80 degree weather.
Anyways, this is what usually happens: 1) I start the car, 'cold', 2) Drive
off, 3) At the first stop I make (doesn't matter if it's 5 or 15 mins), the
odour would start filling the car, 4) Goes off, very soon after (the a/c
prolly blows this cloud of foul smell, 'passing cloud fashion, 5) Smell can
be best described as 'rotten eggs', 'burnt oil' or 'burnt brakes', like when
you go to the track and really work on your brakes....... Ironically, this
odour started after I replaced the front brake discs and pads. Thought,
it'll go away after a while but it's still here...... And no, I have not
been eating too much beans :-) Can someone please tell me what's going on
here. My car does not have a catalytic converter so I'll ruling that out.
Thanks everyone.
