<E30> Paint Codes

Hi

Believe it or not I found a PPG paint supply house that will (given the
proper paint code) mix up the paint and put it in a 12OZ. Spray can for $15.
They are AD Auto Supply in Worcester Ma. 508-756-6229.

I thought the paint code for an E30 car was under the hood on the strut
tower. There is a decal there with the color name
(in German) like Alpenweis or BronzitbeigeMetallic. On this same tag is a
code (like 2121230).

This place could not match my code and they claimed the code was on the
radiator support and was only 3 digits?

I don't know if I buy this. Does anyone know where the paint code is located
and how many digits it would typically be?
