<E30> Blower Motor

The blower motor on my 87 325ic has decided to compete with the 
radio in terms of noise.  Started out as an annoying squeek in 1&2 
positions and now rattles like crazy in 3 & 4.  This changes with 
each bump I hit (i.e. 1st bump...fine...next bump...BLAMAMAMA..)

I've opened it up, made sure its in there secure and squirted some 
WD40 liberally (which works for two days...).

Is it just shot...it is 12 years old, after all.

Your reply is appreciated...but speak up...I'm becoming hard of 
hearing (at least till the next bump).
