Lowering a 633

 Hello all.  I am considering lowering my
'84 633CSi.  Nothing radical, just an inch
or so (something like an Eibach Pro Kit).
I've done this on my E30 and was forced
to use Bilstein Sport struts and shocks
to get the correct length (I blew out a set
of BOGE Turbo gas I tried to use).  On
my 6er, I don't want to go that route,
because I'm not willing to have as harsh
a ride as the Bilsteins produce.  Does
anyone have any experience with this?
I'd be interested in hearing all options
and opinions on springs and struts/shocks.
