<E36> Engine anomalies.

Hi fellow list members, 

Have been experiencing a noticable loss of torque and power in the lower
RPM region on my 96 328i with 36k miles.  Any ideas what might be causing
this?

Also, in the recent months I've noticed a marked increase in engine
vibration at high RPMs, around 3500 and higher.  Is this normal?

Appreciate any input on this...
