SCARY

Heres a scary one...

Three years ago I bought a real clean 325is with under 50K (documented) miles
from a local dealer, financing approx $12k through U.S. Bank.

Towards the end of last year, I decided that I want to pay everything down and
clear my plate in preparation for my first home purchase.

I made several large payments on the car loan, including one last december for
$2000 over the minimum payment. My plan was to pay the thing off next month
(Mar 99). In January I called to see what the payoff was, and to my surprise
they HADN'T CREDITED ANY OF THE MONEY PAID IN DECEMBER, NOT THE $2000, THE
MINIMUM AMOUNT NOTHING! AND I AM DELINQUENT FOR DEC.!!!!!!

I took a copy of my cancelled check, checking account statement, and
spredsheet showing the monthly progression of the loan to the local branch of
U.S. Bank to show them thier error. The local branch, although the place where
I drop the checks off said "We will need 30 days to research the matter"

Still not credited....Any ideas? What should I do....This is the type of thing
that sends the little guy over the edge....

BOTTOM LINE BEWARE OF U.S. BANK! MOVE YOUR ACCOUNTS, THINKING ABOUT A LOAN?
THINK AGAIN...I WAS THINKING ABOUT FINANCING MY HOME LOAN HERE, NO MORE!

U.S. BANK DOESN'T PERFORM PERIOD. EVEN BofA HAS CREDITED MY ACCOUNTS WHEN AN
ERROR HAS BEEN MADE PENDING RESEARCH...
