BMW "Long Life" synthetic oil - Supplier

Several months ago I responded to someone=92s question that the supplier
for the latest BMW synthetic oil (Long Life 5w40) was Veedol.

Well David Chen sent me a note recently saying they had been told
otherwise, - so I checked again today with my dealer, and the BMW Canada
rep.

Both these sources said "Valvoline - for sure!
(and this agrees with what David Chen had been told by his dealer)

Well I know what I heard before,  but if the misinformation caused
anyone any grief then I apologise for not "double checking" my original
data.


Soooooo - current info is that "BMW" oil is supplied by Valvoline - to
BMW=92s specks.

I "suspect" there are separate supplies in different parts of the world
- - with different grades and standards - but I have no firm information
on this.
