Throttle Bodys for E30?

I was thinking about geting a Intake for my 1985 325e. I thought that If
I got a free flow intake like a K&N and throttle body and it would be
even better. Has anyone tried a throttle body. The one I'm looking at
getting is 3mm wider then stock. Well just wanted to hear if its worth
the money?
