Re: Chicago Collision Advice

Dear Lance:

I had a bodyshop recommended to me by a Ferrari-driving acquaintence when I
was foolish enough to sit in my nice black 911 behind a guy in a truck who
decided to back up. Anyway, when I went to the body shop, they not only
had a lot of nice cars in there, but they were also doing extensive
restoration work on a car for one of the owners of Midwest Eurosport
(perhaps the best Porsche garage in Chi-town). I was convinced, and they
did an excellent job. Drumroll please...
The place is called Eryops Bodycraft in Carol Stream and either Mark or Bob
can help you. You can mention my name, although thankfully I've only been
there once, so they probably don't remember me. They are at (630) 665-6580.

In the interest of a new, better Digest, do I really have to disavow any
ulterior motives for recommending them to you, or can we just assume it?

<<Unfortunately, on the way to work this morning I was rear-ended when I had
to make an emergency stop for a traffic jam in front of me. Does anyone
know the reputation of Patrick BMW and/or their Collision center located in
Schaumburg, IL? Also, should I assume that a bmw dealership will use 100%
bmw parts for an insurance repair, or do I need to stress the fact that I
will only accept original equipment parts? My insurance company has
already agree to let it be repaired by this dealership.

Doesn't apear to be too much cosmetic damage, but there is a strange
rubbing noise coming from the differential area. I think the driver hit me
at 20+ mph. Anyhow, if anyone knows of a better collision specialist,
please let me know.>>
