E30 325IC suspension / air flow questions

First of all, Thank You Richard for years of diligent service. I will surely
miss this digest, but I understand and respect your decision. Having said
that, I'd like to ask one last final question of all of you fellow
digesters. 

I have a 1987 325i convertible. What I want to do to it is to give it better
cornering ability without suffering a major hit on ride comfort. What is a
good set of progressive springs/struts/shock absorbers for the car? and what
is the maximum wheel size/tire height ratio that would be recommended? Most
everything is stock on the car with a few exceptions. The other thing has to
do with more power, what would be the recommended air intake and exhaust
system for the car?
