inspection I

hi

my oil service light came up about a week ago on my 95 325i, it's got just
over 42,000 miles on it, and i'm wondering how long i can hold off going to
get the oil service before it gets detrimental. i know inspections I is
mostly visual checks so i'm not hurried to get it done, (short on capital),
and also is there any downside to waiting to get the inspection I? say...
till the red blocks come up?? or even later??
