Plan to enter the First Annual "RACE at the BASE" Vintage Automobile Races
to be held in Virginia Beach, VA at the Oceana Naval Air Station. The race
date is April 23, 24 & 25, 1999 on a 2.8 mile historical recreation of a
1950's airport course.

There is not only excellent racing at this SVRA sanctioned event, but the
start/finish line is located just 5.5 miles from the World Class Tourist
area at Virginia Beach. Take advantage of the discounted off-season rates at
any Boardwalk Atlantic Ocean beachside accommodation. Numerous family
attractions are only moments away like the Virginia Marine Science Museum,
historical lighthouses, and boat tours with dolphin sightings, golf, Art
Museums, restaurants & evening entertainment.

Five (5) race groups will insure lots of track time each day, a Street
Parade and Gala Beach Party on the Board Walk Friday night, 60 plus weather
and a Track Party Saturday night at the Naval Air Station.

Registration is $245 if post marked by March 31, 1999, $275 on April first &
at the event.

More information to be released ASAP in late January '99.

The release doesn't say, but you will be able to drive your race cars to the
Friday night beach party if you want. The event will be open to all SVRA,
HSR, VSCDA, VSCCA, et al. and cars.

To register at the SVRA office (603) 640-6161. For detailed information
