Regarding disconnecting the temp warning buzzer, it was written:

I'm a far cry from a Master BMW Tech, but I can tell you that no
faults are set by disconnecting the audio buzzer, located underneath
the steering wheel, attached to the panel.  NOTE: E36's have two, one
for the bong, and one for the headlight buzzer.
