My 1998 Mustang Cobra gets 26MPG on the highway, about what my 1990 BMW 325i
gets, and it is a kick to drive.

The Cobra has a 4.6l 305hp 32 valve DOHC all aluminum V8. Modern engines can get
better mileage than you think.
