RE:'94 E36 Problems

I bought (stole) a 1994 E36 convertible with 55K on it 1.5 years ago from a
Chevy dealer. It now has 85K miles on it. Dropped $1000 on a rather
extensive Inspection II and total car "fix up" from the best BMW shop in
Texas. The Chevy dealer did nothing with the car and I made up the $1000 in
the purchase price.

My list of known problems -

Problems found in Roundel article:
- - - power window problems - Driver's window does not automatically drop and
raise when opening and shutting door. Otherwise, still works fine.
- - - blistering door panels - Bought car with passenger side blistered. Have
not fixed.

Different Problems:
Rear wheel bearings replaced - Replaced both although one showed signs of
wear and tear. Highway driving car accumulates the miles
Head Gasket replaced - During Inspection II after I bought car
Driveshaft-disk-Gubbi-something or other - Recently replaced

Overall, the car drives strong. I would not fear getting a used '94 at all.
