The later E30 ( 87 onwards ) came with those mentioned by Pat. It is so
very easy to remove as compared to the old type. Just push on the wire
(towards the body of the connector) to release and pull it out.

I had those connectors for the Fuel Injectors, Cold start valve,
Temperature
sender & Temperature time switch replaced sometime last year. The BMW
part number for the two-pin connector housing asm. is #12-52-1-706-121, the
clip & seal ring comes with it.
