<E30> <E36> Steering Wheel Interchangability?

A friend has an 1992 E36 325is.  I have a 1990 E30 325i.  I might like to
put the E36 steering wheel on my E30.

Does anyone know the answers to these questions?

1.  Are the steering wheels interchangable?  (i.e. splines, depth, etc.)

2.  Is the E36 air bag compatible with the E30 triggering circuits and
such?

3.  Anything else I should know about this particular "conversion"?
