Tech question on sticky thermostat?

	I also have a sticky thermostat on my M50 engine. I was wondering if this may
cause an abnormal carbon build up in the engine do to low of operating temps?
I realize that short term this is probably not a problem. But would it have
any long term effect. I purchased a new thermostat today and will install it,
but I couldn't help but wonder.
