BMW owns a very big chunk of the british auto industry, Ford owns another (the
other?) big chunk.
Also originaly Bond prefered a .22 Baretta, and that's Italian (in the books he
has always getting razzed for carying a women's weapon). Also his favorite
drink is a Vodka Martini, a French drink with a Russsian ingredient, and I'll
bet the best olives are Greek (so I don't think he cared to look for the made
in UK label)
