Due to the clearance problem created by the radiator, it is difficult to
use an impact gun.
I have a thick walled 36 mm socket, 3/4 inch drive. I use a 48 inch..........

Brett is correct......unless you pull the radiator and front grills for
use with your conventional impact gun or use a 3/4" drive "right angle"
impact gun such as an I/R 2920B9 (note: a right angle power drive
attachment will cut your torque output by 50% so you've got to be using at
least 3/4" drive to spin this nut off), the breaker bar and flywheel lock
is the way to go. The 2920 requires only 4 1/2" of clearance for access
but is a very massive tool (forget about using it with your Sears
compressor...air supply lines must be 1/2" ID and the tool weighs about 25
lbs with the socket...torque output @ 90 degrees is 550 ft lbs) and very
expensive ($2500.00). SD
