I did the swap from 3.25 to 3.73 on my '87 535is and love it. I've heard of
people getting higher gas mileage than me, but the increase in low-end
performance was well worth it. I average 17 city, 23 highway. Oh... I
drive the car hard almost every day. It likes it...
