Weebles wobble

     Hello all,
     Yep, I'm a new guy to the digest having just upgraded
     from a very nice '83 320is (no comments here please)
     to an equally nice '86 325es. I have the wobbly shifter
     syndrome, you know the one where the shift lever moves
     3-4" side to side for no particular reason. Is there an
     upgrade fix for this condition? What are opinions regarding
     a short shift kit? Who offers the best unit for the dollar?
