wazzup with the windows?

I am posting this for a net impaired friend.

Car: 1992 325is
Mileage: 78k miles
Problem: When the drivers window switch is depressed the window does not go up with
continuous pressure to the switch. Continuous pressure means, hit the switch, wait a sec,
hit the switch, wait a sec....etc.
Is this a window motor problem, or the comfort relay?
