Here I am laughing at one of your more prominant  members for a joke on m=

and I get more insults from you.
You dont even know me.   I try to help a good number of you fellow
subcribers understand more about the intake
system and explain some major misconceptions.
  Im around more BMWs every day than you are and Im being passed
and passing more on the track than you will probably ever know.   =


The "obnoxious test"  was to explain about some of these misconceptions  =
of
"ram air" and others so that you could make informed decisions before
buying a cool air tube or replacing a filter box with something that  may=

not do anything.

You say go away with all of your meaning less posts and Im counting many
more posts equal to, or less meaning less than mine.

You go ahead with all of your  childesh comments, foster the know-it-alls=

as supreme beings ,  not being able to learn something new, and you becom=

Answers to the test:   Ram air , "fact or fiction"  (Below has to do with=

airflow thru a pipe or inlet at sub-sonic flow)

1.   a funnel-like inlet that  will speed up the air but the pressure wil=
l
drop.   (making the air less dense)

2.  a veturi is a hourglass pathway for air to travel that speeds the air=

up and lowers the pressure to drive vacuum driven devices like timing
advance, while the air on the other end then slows down to the speed it w=
as
at from the beginning.  (with associated losses)

3.    Indy cars actually havea reverse funnel (small diameter to large) o=
n
intake that slows the air down (because they are going so fast they dont
need anymore speed of air)  and then it rases the pressure to make the ai=
r
more dense.

4.  any bend or reduction of the inlet tube , whether it be 45 or 90
degrees, has the same effect  of loss, as if you were lengthening it by 5=

to 10 feet and it was straight  . =


Mock what you dont understand,   make fun of the people that try and teac=
