e-36 lighter question

Like many of my friends, I've resorted to using small pieces of stick or
cardboard jammed into my lighter socket to help provide a snug fit for
my cell phone and radar(not hard wired yet) detector plugs. I'm sick of
doing this!!!!
Do others have this problem??? What's the solution?
