re: rust spot

Dear Digest,

I apologize, as I am sure this has been discussed in the past but - is
there any god literature on how to fix small rust spots?

I have about a quarter sized patch of rust that is developing below my
drivers side rear window on my 89 325is. I want to take care of it now, so
the spot does no progress to a larger size.
