E30 Cosmetic Questions

     1. Can you paint the faded plasti-chrome window trim? 
     2. What makes the faded bumper rubber look better?
     
     Painting the window trim was surprisingly easy. I used a black 
     satin-finish enamel and a brush just the right width, and it didn't take 
     more than 1/2 hour per window. I prepped it with a small piece of fine 
     sandpaper, but it was so weathered, probably just cleaning was enough. 
     Looks good after about 6 months.
     
     I tried several products on the rubber. Best is a BMW product called 
     Gummi-phlege (something like that). Six bucks at the BMW Store. For 
     the hard plastic parts I like Back-to-Black from Mothers.
