Debi:
The roundel emblems are only about $8 or so from your local BMW
dealer, so I wouldn't bother spending time trying to find a good set
from a junk yard. Just my $0.02.
The roundels have 2 posts sticking out the back that mate with
grommetted holes in the hood or trunk. There may also be a sticky
putty material that helps secure them. Simply pry the old ones off
using a flat-bladed screw driver (be careful to use a rag or something
to protect the paint), and press the new ones in place.
While you're at it, you may also want to replace the roundel labels on
your wheels. They tend to get brown with age. New adhesive-backed
labels are a few bucks apiece, again from your dealer. Simply peel
the old one off the hub cap with a putty knife, and stick the new one
on. This simple fix is quick, easy, inexpensive, and you'll be
pleased with the result.
