Hi All,
Just received my M driver newsletter today and thought I would post a
small update about the production numbers of M cars sold in the United
State for those interested in this sort of thing.
Model Dates Sold Number Sold
E28 M5 1987-1988 800
E30 M3 1988-1991 3,666
E24 M6 1987-1988 1,036
E34 M5 1991-1993 1,518
E36 M3 1995-present 30,225
E36/7 M roadster 1998 2,402
Total M cars sold in the US to date: 39,647
Estimated that 40 of M1 were imported to the US by collectors.
