I respond:

Yup... funny you know that trick also?  I called them after the post
when another list member suggested that it sounded just like the
95 850T Volvo... the price was about right.

The salesdude said: Oh, you calling on the Volvo?  I said:  No way
fella, I want the advertised BMW 850 w/ aftermarket turbo installed
for that price.  Oh well,  they screwed up the ad.  Wouldn't have
purchased form them anyway... they are an Acura dealership (there,
now I have one of those WOB posts into the list!)
