ZF4HP22EH auto tranny loss of drive

My '85 635CSiA has been acting up since I did a fluid change
with Dexron II. Sometimes it will lose drive for a few
seconds and leave me standing still. I can often here a
whooshing sound from the tranny as if ATf is flowing
through a passage. 

Tranny changes and kicks down great, it has 148K miles. Have
I dislodged some dirt or is my A clutch dying?
