about E32 ellipsoids fitting in the front of an E30 (or not, as the case
seems).

You may like to know that post-Sept'87 Euro E30s had ellipsoids; since it
is possible to by ellipsoid headlamps on the aftermarket for E36s, it may
be possible to buy them for E30s as well (provided the grille will take
them, or it's a new one of those as well).
