buzzy shifter

Things you will need...
Duct Tape
Screwdriver

This duct tape fix works for a while, but a better solution is to use a
small hose clamp on the bottom of the shifter knob, under the leather boot.
Lift the boot out of the center console. Pull the knob off the shift
lever (pull it straight up -- hard). Pull the boot back over the shift
knob. Slide the hose clamp around the base of the knob. Reinstall the
knob, tighten the clamp, and reattach the boot to the console.
I'll try and go one better....
A little more expensive fix is to install the M roadster shifter (BL/SS).
This $70.00 upgrade will also eliminate the "shifty" shifter. The greatly reduced throw
is
way cool as well

PS. The oil pan drain plug uses 3 10MM bolts. ( No idea of torque spec)
The best way to get to the filter is to remove the airbox. MUCH easier. (ask me
how I know!)
The cheapie oil filter wrench from Wal-mart works great for me...
Manual states that 4.3 qts includes filter (add .5 qt for R and R of oil
cooler).
Finally, additional over full has been recommended for track duty, but if
you spend 30-60 bucks on an oil pan baffle (easily installed by dropping the
lower pan while you are there) then this is not neccesary, and much safer
too!
Note: overfilling the oil will result in a LOSS of approx 5 hp due to
foaming...!
