some people are, for one reason another, actually aware of what the issues
involved here are.

i would ask all of you to please refrain from anything that looks like any
sort of extortion or threat (e.g., don't go up to <person/business omitted>
and say something like "if you go after the digest, we'll do <so and so>").

such actions, while theoretically well intended, probably will make things
much, much worse, not better.
