Hi Dave,

In short, no - E36 wheels do NOT fit on E28's. Apparently BBS makes a 
spacer that you can use, but we're talking about a spacer that is likely 18 
to 24 mm thick. Much too thick for most people's sensibilities, including 
mine.

Get yourself a set of wheels from a 5 or 7 series car from E32 and E34 
onwards.
