I need help. My 89 735iL has a hesitation or surging between 2500 and 4000
rpm. I had an 86 635 that had the same irritating power curve. The problem
seems to be more noticeable under heavy than normal and hard acceleration. 
Car has been tuned and local shop can't seem to correct the problem.  Tune up
included plugs, dist. cap, rotor and wires.
