George,

Only a few 16" wheel designs will clear the front brake calipers on an 
M3, so be sure to try before you buy. I believe that most/all BMW 
original wheels will not fit.

I'm running ACT model LS (Tire Rack) 16" wheels with my Pirelli 210 
snows, and they just clear as long as wheel weights aren't applied in the 
area of the inside rim swept by the calipers.
