metal masters

the pad discussion has arisen again and i have to ask a questions on this
round.

a few have said bad things about the metal masters recently and i have to
ask what is deemed a better choice and i won't have to sacrifice an arm? I
have been running a set for some time now including two events at seebring
one at moroso and a few autocrosses with better results than the stock
ones. 

What is a good pad for a car that is driven to events, pushed a bit, and
driven home? Also it needs to work without requiring two warmup laps for
autocross reasons.

Also there have been some discussions about slotted rotors vs cross drilled
vs flat
