Evaporator Freezing.

If the evaporator is freezing shouldn't there be a low temp cutout switch
somewhere?  This is a frequent occurence on cars back in India.  Never had
to get into the problem though so I cannot be sure. 

Also, I have removed the recirc. damper motor from an 86 325.  You will
need to remove the console.  After that it is obvious and straightforward. 
Did not have any rivets or anything that I had to break to get it out as I
recall.  I had only an adjustable wrench and a screwdriver that day.
