Re: BMW V6

I understand the reasoning for V6's (space, packaging and all that) but 
a straight 6 is a naturally better "balanced" engine than a V6 from the 
timing perspective. Having driven and owned more than a dozen straight 
and V sixes and currently the owner of a BMW straight 6 and an Audi V6, 
I, for one, prefer the natural smoothness of an in-line 6. Besides 
Jaguar (a quick tear rolls down my cheek for the end of the DOHC Jag 
engine) BMW is noted for its excellent straight 6 engines. Actually, 
this is one of the reasons I bought my 525...
