The first recourse is the toolkit that came with your M3, as it has a
wrench that fits the plugs and the hole in which they are located. I
just had the engine, however, without the rest of the car, and was faced
with this problem. Checked with Steve at Ultimate Garage with no luck,
bought a special order SnapOn 18mm thinking it would be the ticket - no
luck. >>
I experienced the same thing with my M635 that I just picked up. There was no
spark plug tool in the trunk, and I couldn't find a socket to fit. Bavarian
Auto special ordered the replacement for me, but it wasn't cheap. After
looking at what I needed, I can see why I had such a tough time finding
something which would work.
