Anyone ever seen/used them ?The professionals guide to messing with your
buggy at $65 an hour.
At the local fleamarket this weekend there was a guy (from Tibet no less
) selling some 89-92 Mitchell repair and parts locator manuals cheap.
They cover all imports in one series/volume for service/repair and the
other sets tell you 'where to find the whiffenpoof relay ' in the same
series of cars...handy to have when the factory stuck it up the tailpipe
or under the LH side of the dashboard and it doesnt hum or sing tunes to
help find it.
He had a couple left last time I saw him..anyone interested at $30
apiece plus shipping ?..they are about 6" thick ,and are heavy!!
Note ,if you've a 94 car a 92 or 89 manual wont do you much use except
to fix that broken table where the leg is missing .I could just extract
the BMW sections from each one (for to ship ) and give the remainder to
folks with broken tables. They seem ,in the repair volumes ,to focus on
the more esoteric parts of the emissions control systems...how to test
the output of relays or sensors etc . rather than tell how many lugbolts
or rockers you should have. The info must be 'factory' cuz it is so
detailed.
Let me know by fri and I'll take a big strong buggy out there next sat
and see what he has left.
There was a set of 15x7 chromed MOMOs out there too ,4bolt x 100mm PCD
,28mm offset...tempting,but missing hubcaps.
Bill Proud.with an extra table leg simulator.in Seattle .
Watch the PGA this week ,see how it ALWAYS rains in Seattle...not!
