Dan,
To cure the PPPP, simply unhook your OBC for a while. Some say a
couple of hours etc, but mine didn't reset until it was disconnected
for over 24 hours. PPPP simply means that the computer has forgotten
its programming I think. I had best results unhooking the OBC at its
connector harness, while others had luck by leaving the car battery
unhooked.
To my knowledge, the SI board ni-cad batteries have nothing to do with
the OBC.
