<creaking suspension> thanks for all the replies

Thanks to all of you who responded, both on the Digest and privately, to
my question about the creaking sound coming from the front
steering/suspension of my 1986 528e. At least 90% of you led me to the
sway bar links, which is exactly where the problem lies. I will most
likely be lubing them in the short term, at least until I get my first
BMW CCA newsletter and find a good parts place from which to get new
links. Thanks again!
