I doubt its a fault with the DME as the same signal drives the injectors so
you would have far worse problems than the OBC reading if that was 2x too
long !
Do you have standard flow rate injectors and are you running standard fuel
pressures ? The DME outputs a variable mark space ratio series of pulses
equivalent to the opening time for the injectors. The OBC just measures the
open time for the injectors and thus calculates the fuel being delivered to
the engine. The OBC works on standard flow rate as set by standard fuel
pressure and standard flow rate injectors. The other possibility is that
the OBC is for a different setup (?) Is that possible ? If that is the case
you would confirm it by swapping with your friends OBC, don't know then how
you can fix it unless you can either find someone who can modify the OBC code
for you or build a basic micro board to halve the pulse widths coming from the
DME !
