I recently found an article in an Australian car mag about a 1600 that
supposedly did 14.2 second quarter miles, regularly.
Although the engine had been stroked to 1990cc, had a 1978 320i head and was
running twin side draughts, does 14 secs seem a little quick?
BTW, the car had been fitted with "later" model seats (in the picture, they
had headrests and lumbar support). Does anyone know any similar BMW seats
which would fit nicely into a 1600? I don't wanna have to weld or drill new
holes if I don't have to.
