I have 17x8 Kosei wheels with 215/45-17 BFG's on my '95 318ti Sport.
Tire Rack recommended this size and said 225's would interfere at the
rear. The diameter of this combination is almost the same as the stock
205/60-15 on 15x7. Have not experienced any rub problems and there
appears to be margin.
