    Although amusing, this isn't true. There is no "Arizona Highway
Patrol". The state police agency is the Arizona Department of Public
Safety. When this story surfaced on Compuserve's Law Enforcement Forum,
an Arizona DPS officer pronounced it a pure "urban legend". When a
co-worker of mine, an accident reconstructionist, saw this he ran the
numbers through his equations and found nothing worked out.      Bob
